CDL Training

Obtaining your CDL is a valuable asset to the Company and can qualify you for an increase of your pay rate. To assist you with preparing for your CDL Exam, we have compiled introductory training videos. If you already have your CDL, skip to step 3, below.

Step 1:  Watch the videos below.
Step 2:  Receive your DOT physical exam and clean bill of health at this clinic in Boulder. Send a copy of this to office@highperformanceearthworks.com when complete.
Step 3: Prep for the DMV Learner’s Permit using any of the practice tests below:

Step 4: Take the following written tests at the DMV:

a. General Knowledge Exam at the DMV (~100 questions). You must receive a pass at this step to receive your Learner’s Permit and continue toward CDL licensure. Submit a copy of your Learner’s Permit to office@highperformanceearthworks.com

b. Combination Vehicle Exam (~30 questions). You must receive a pass at this step to continue toward CDL licensure.

c. Air Brakes Exam (~30 questions). You must receive a pass at this step to continue toward CDL licensure.

Step 5: Complete a Federal/State approved CDL Training School provided by HPE. High Performance Earthworks will pay for the cost of your CDL education, exam and offer its assets to be used by any employee when taking the exam, if necessary.

Step 6:  Complete the CDL Pre-Trip Practical Exam with the CDL Training School and receive a pass.

Step 7: Submit your CDL-approved certificate received from the training school to office@highperformanceearthworks.com (a photo will suffice) and to the DMV in person to receive your new license. Then submit the Confirmation of CDL at the bottom of this page.
